This week I want to start off with some verses, “On the last day of the feast, the great day, Jesus stood up and cried out, “If anyone thirsts, let him come to me and drink. Whoever believes in me, as the Scripture has said, ‘Out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.’” Now this he said about the Spirit, whom those who believed in him were to receive, for as yet the Spirit had not been given, because Jesus was not yet glorified.” John 7:37-39 In these verses Jesus says He is the living water and anyone who comes and drinks of the living water then, he will receive a river of living water which refers to the Holy Spirit. He calls everyone to come and receive living water not to drink it all but to drink and then become a river of living water that we may guide others to the Father. We are just a small piece of the river, He is the source of the river that will never run dry. This week I want to encourage everyone who reads or listens to this to make sure they have the living water, which comes when we believe that Jesus is the Son of God, that He was a sinless man and that He died for us because we are sinful people. Sin is anything that God did not create, that saddens the heart of the Holy Spirit. We all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. But God rich in mercy sent His Son that we may have eternal life not in this fallen world without Him, but in a perfect place with Him forever. Where there will be no death, but there will be life and a life more abundant than this one. We are only here for a short time, but God made a way where we can all know Him and live forever. All you have to do to come to know Him is to admit that you are a sinner, believe that He died on the cross for your sins, and confess Him as Lord of your life. This week I want everyone to make sure they receive the free gift that Jesus offered to us all and that we are sharing the living water with others.
