This week I want to talk about the gospel through serving. We talked about the gospel a while back and encouraged you whether you were a follower of Jesus or not. This week is going to be a little bit different. I’m talking about sharing the gospel through serving. If you’ve ever served with a church on a mission trip, then you know that you get just as much out of serving as the people you are serving. But sometimes when you are serving or maybe you forgot you had signed up to be a server and you want to be watching your favorite show or something else you want to do, so you don’t have a good attitude about it. You must be of good spirit about serving the people who you and your church are trying to reach. When you have a bad attitude about serving that comes back and not only messes up the reputation of your church, but also of all christians. So when you serve you need to pray for the people you are trying to reach. Here is what you can pray, that God would fill you with his spirit and that you would have the strength to serve with a good spirit and that God would allow you to pour his spirit out over people. One thing I started doing this last year is praying in the morning telling God here is a blank check use my life today in my actions and words to reach others this week. But rather I am going to ask you to pray the prayer that I talked about in this week’s dive deeper. And pray the blank check prayer every morning just for a week and see what God can do through you.
